:::Wee Witches:::

Since Halloween is upon us...the theme this week is "Wee Witches". I created this arch using old book text that I watercolored a deep hue of orange. I added Hero Arts flourishes and gold dots (along the edges), the image is from Lisa's Altered Art...I think she is too sweet. The wee witch was also given wings. Bottom border is a combination of a border punch and torn paper. Tombstone and Boo! stamps are from justjohanna. I can't wait to see what everyone creates this week!

:::Paper Patchwork:::

Our hostess this week is Cora Harkins and she has selected the theme "Patchwork Paper". Isn't her arch beautiful?!

This arch was inspired by a technique that Kelly Rae Roberts made popular Paper Patchwork. First I cut up strips of patterned paper and pasted them together to make a background. Then I painted over the paper background with acrylic paints. Use a wet sponge to rub off areas of paint to reveal parts of the patterned paper below. Then you add what ever touches you like to the collage. For more details on how I created this arch please see my blog at www.paperflowers1.blogspot.com

Please use this as arch as an inspiration to make your own Paper Patchwork Arch. You can try this technique or create your own look using lots of different patterned papers. I can’t wait to see all of your arches.

:::Haute Coutre Sampler:::

:::Haute Coutre:::

Our hostess this week is Sandrine Hudgens who has selected the theme "Haute Couture"...isn't her arch just beautiful!? You may see more of her beautiful creations here: http://sandrinesboutique.blogspot.com

A bit about the hostess:

"My name is Sandrine. I am French, originally from Reunion Island (Department of France, in the Indian Ocean). I have lived in the States for 12 years now and currently reside in Utah, where I live with my american husband and 3 children. I love any type of art and crafts! I love scrapbooking, stamping, Mixed Media, and trading aceos. I have become a true Photoshop addict the last year so quite a bit of my artwork has become digital. But I still enjoy getting my hands dirty with my art projects! I have also discovered a passion for photography and photo editing lately which I am going to start doing a lot more of.

So there you have it! I hope you will enjoy this week's theme. I can't wait to see all of your beautiful arches!!"
